Master the Table

The definitive guide to 8-Ball excellence

STEP 01

Setting Up the Table

Arrange the balls in the triangle rack at the foot of the table. The 8-ball must be in the center, and the apex ball should rest exactly on the foot spot.

STEP 02

The Break

Position the cue ball anywhere behind the head string. Strike with precision and force to scatter the rack and gain control of the table.

STEP 03

Choosing Your Side

After the break, the first ball pocketed determines your set: Stripes or Solids. If you clear a solid first, those are yours for the rest of the game.

STEP 04

Aiming & Execution

Align your vision with the target pocket. Maintain a steady bridge hand, follow through with your stroke, and control the cue ball's movement.

Securing the Win

Once all your balls are cleared, call your pocket for the 8-ball. Sinking the 8-ball early or scratching on the final shot results in an immediate loss.
