Arrange the balls in the triangle rack at the foot of the table. The 8-ball must be in the center, and the apex ball should rest exactly on the foot spot.
Position the cue ball anywhere behind the head string. Strike with precision and force to scatter the rack and gain control of the table.
After the break, the first ball pocketed determines your set: Stripes or Solids. If you clear a solid first, those are yours for the rest of the game.
